Short answer: On 21 October 2026, OnlyFans was offline. When we opened onlyfans.com at 18:48 CEST (16:48 UTC), the site showed: "OnlyFans is currently offline for planned maintenance. We will be up and running again soon." At the same time, the outage tracker Entireweb Status listed 844 user reports in the previous hour.
If OnlyFans is not loading for you right now, check whether it is down for everyone or only for you, tell your fans where you are, and do not post or send anything twice. Details below.
Status: OnlyFans maintenance on 21 October 2026
Status as of 21 October 2026, 18:48 CEST (16:48 UTC):
- onlyfans.com showed a maintenance page: "OnlyFans is currently offline for planned maintenance. We will be up and running again soon." (checked by us in the browser)
- Rechecked at 18:57 CEST (16:57 UTC): the maintenance page was still showing.
- Entireweb Status (third-party tracker based on user reports) said OnlyFans "appears to be down" and listed 352 reported problems in the last 20 minutes, 844 in the last hour and 2,007 in the last 24 hours (checked 18:47 CEST).
OnlyFans had not said publicly how long the maintenance would last. We do not know the reason beyond what the maintenance page says, and we will not guess. If you are reading this later, the checklist below works for any outage.
Is OnlyFans down, or is it just you?
Run through this list in order. It takes about two minutes.
- Open onlyfans.com in a normal browser tab (not inside Instagram or TikTok). A maintenance or error page from OnlyFans itself means the problem is on their side.
- Check an outage tracker. Sites such as Entireweb Status or isitdownrightnow.com collect reports from users. Many reports in the last hour point to an outage. A handful of reports means little.
- Look at OnlyFans' official accounts on X, @OnlyFans and @OnlyFansSupport. They do not post about every incident, so silence does not mean everything is fine.
- Switch network. Turn Wi-Fi off and try mobile data, or the other way round. If it works on one and not the other, your network is the problem.
- Turn off your VPN or switch to another server. Some VPN servers are blocked or very slow.
- Try another browser or a private window. If it works there, clear the cache and cookies for onlyfans.com in your main browser.
- Log out and back in, or restart your device. Old sessions sometimes break after a platform update.
- Check if it is only one feature. Sometimes the site loads, but uploads, messages or payouts do not. Note which part is affected; it helps if you contact support later.
If everything points to OnlyFans, stop troubleshooting. You cannot fix their servers, and repeated logins and uploads can cause duplicates once the site comes back.
If OnlyFans works in a normal browser but not when fans tap your link on Instagram, that is a different problem. Our guide on why your OnlyFans link breaks on Instagram explains the fix.
What to do during an OnlyFans outage
An outage is stressful when your income depends on one platform. A calm plan keeps your fans with you.
1. Tell your fans where you are. Fans who cannot reach your page often think the problem is on their side, or that you left. A short post on your other channels helps. Copy and adapt:
OnlyFans is down for everyone right now, not just you 💙 Nothing is lost. I'll be back on there as soon as it's up. Stay close, something special is coming for your patience.
For an Instagram or TikTok story:
OnlyFans is offline right now. It's not you 😅 I'll let you know here when it's back.
For X or Telegram:
Heads up: OnlyFans is having an outage. Please don't re-send payments or messages. I'll post here the moment it's back.
2. Do not post the same thing twice. If an upload or a message did not seem to go through, wait until the site is back and check before trying again. Fans getting the same pay-per-view message twice is annoying and can lead to complaints.
3. Check your scheduled posts and mass messages. Write down what was planned during the outage. Once OnlyFans is back, check whether each one went out. Move anything time-sensitive, such as a sale that ends today, to a new time and tell your fans.
4. Use the time for work that does not need OnlyFans. Plan content, edit photos, write captions, answer messages on other platforms. Our guide on what to post on OnlyFans can help you fill the next week.
5. Do not move payments or customs off the platform. It can be tempting to sell directly while OnlyFans is down. Outside the platform, OnlyFans' terms do not cover the deal, and you lose the record of what was agreed and paid.
After the outage: your comeback message
When OnlyFans is back, check your page, your messages and your statements first. Then send a short message to your fans. A small thank-you works better than a hard sell:
We're back! 💙 Thank you for waiting. As a little thank-you, [your offer, for example a free photo set or a discount for the next 24 hours].
Keep the offer simple and honest, and only promise what you can deliver. Fans who waited for you deserve something real, not pressure.
What happens to subscriptions and earnings?
Here we stick to what OnlyFans' Terms of Use say (last updated August 2024 according to OnlyFans, checked 21 October 2026):
- No availability guarantee. "We do not guarantee that OnlyFans, or its Content, will always be available or accessible without interruption." OnlyFans also says it "may suspend, withdraw, or restrict the availability of any part of OnlyFans."
- Subscriptions renew as usual. Subscriptions renew automatically unless the fan cancels or another condition in the terms applies. We found no rule in the terms that extends subscriptions or pays compensation for downtime.
- Payouts. Creator earnings can only be withdrawn once they are reflected in your OnlyFans account, and your balance must meet the minimum payout amount.
If something looks wrong in your statements after an outage, write down the date, time and what you expected, and contact OnlyFans support. This is general orientation, not legal advice. Read the current terms yourself.
Do not depend on one platform
An outage shows how much of your income sits in one place. The best protection is a reach that does not depend on a single site: social profiles where your fans can find you, a link-in-bio page, and possibly a second platform. Our guides on social media traffic for creator platforms and OnlyFans alternatives explain how.

Where Pony fits
When a platform goes down, a creator on her own has to do everything at once: check the status, calm her fans, rework the schedule and keep an eye on her statements. That is exactly the kind of work a team takes off your plate.
Pony Agency manages OnlyFans, Fansly and MYM for adult creators, with a personal manager, fan messaging, content and pricing strategy, posting-time analysis, promotion and privacy support including DMCA takedowns. Your fans hear from us on time, your schedule gets adjusted, and your reach is built across several channels, so one outage does not cut you off.
For full management, the split is 60% to Pony Agency and 40% to the creator, calculated on net revenue after platform fees and any chargebacks or reversals. The agreement is non-exclusive and either side can end it with 30 days' notice. Your content stays yours, and accounts you already have stay yours.
If you want a team that keeps your business calm even when a platform is not, apply for a fit review. An application starts a conversation, and you decide whether it goes further.
