Camming has one hard ceiling: you can only be online so many hours. Every strategy that actually raises a cam model's income either raises the rate per hour or gets more people into the room during the hours you're already working.
Multistreaming is the second one. Same show, same four hours, broadcast to three sites instead of one. Done right it multiplies discovery for free. Done carelessly it gets you banned from the platform that was paying you.
First: Restream.io is not the tool for this
Restream is the name everyone recommends, because it's the biggest multistreaming service on the internet. For adult creators it's the wrong answer, and it's worth being precise about why.
Restream's Terms of Service, section 7.2.5, states that you may not publish content Restream deems offensive, and names "depictions of explicit sexual activities" specifically.
That isn't a grey area you can argue about after the fact. Building your streaming setup on a service whose terms exclude your content means one policy review ends it — usually without warning, and usually mid-stream. It's the same mistake as running an explicit page on Patreon because the fee is lower.
Restream is excellent software. It just isn't for this.

The important technical difference: cloud restreaming sends one stream up and copies it there; local multistreaming sends every stream from your connection. If your upload speed is modest — and most home connections are — three local outputs means three streams fighting for the same bandwidth, and all of them look worse. Cloud is the safer choice on a normal connection.
Check the rules before you turn it on
This is the part that costs models their best-earning account.
Some cam sites restrict broadcasting elsewhere at the same time. Not all of them, and the rules change, but the ones that do enforce it treat a violation as grounds for suspension. Others allow it without conditions. A few allow it but exclude their own competitors specifically.
So before your first multistream:
- Read the model terms of every site you plan to include, and search their help centre for "simultaneous", "exclusive" and "other sites".
- If you're in a studio, check your contract too. Studio agreements often carry an exclusivity clause that's stricter than the platform's own rules.
- If a site's position is unclear, ask model support in writing and keep the answer. A support reply in your inbox is worth a lot if a moderator ever asks.
- Never assume the rule you read last year still applies.
The maths is unforgiving: a second room might add 30% to a good night. Losing your main account costs everything it would have earned for the rest of the year.
Setting it up so it doesn't look cheap
- Test your upload speed first. As a rough guide, plan for the bitrate of one good 1080p stream plus headroom; if you're multistreaming locally, multiply it by the number of outputs.
- One camera, one scene, one show. Don't try to run different content in each room — you can't read three chats at once, and viewers notice when you're not present.
- Pick one room as home. Say it out loud: your tips, your goals and your links point to one site. The others are discovery.
- Watch your own stream on a second device the first few times. Cloud restreaming can introduce delay, and a chat you answer twenty seconds late feels broken.
- Check the clock. Sites have different peak hours for different audiences; a second room is worth most when its prime time overlaps your session.
The point of the extra rooms
Multistreaming doesn't fix the underlying limit — you're still paid for hours you're physically online. What it does is multiply the number of strangers who discover you during those hours.
That's only worth something if the discovery goes somewhere permanent. Every extra room should push toward the same destination: a page you own, where people can pay you while you're asleep. That's the whole argument in cam sites compared, and it's why the shows you already streamed belong on a clip site afterwards.
