Most creators pick a payout method in the two minutes after their first sale, then keep it for years. It's one of the few decisions in this business you make once and pay for every single month.
The differences are not small. The same $500 can arrive in 24 hours or in ten business days, cost you $3 or $40, and land in dollars or in your own currency. Here's what each platform actually offers.

The three platforms side by side

|---|---|---|---|
| Bank transfer | Yes, incl. international SWIFT | Yes — SEPA and SWIFT | Yes, the standard route |
| PayPal | No | No | Yes |
| Paxum | Yes | Yes | — |
| Cosmo / Cosmopayment | Yes | Yes | — |
| Skrill | Yes | — | — |
| Crypto | No | Yes | No |
| Typical minimum | around $20 | $20 e-wallet, $50 SEPA, $100 SWIFT or crypto | €50 in validated earnings |
| Rhythm | Pending period, then your chosen schedule | Processed at the start of the month for the previous month | Once the threshold is reached |
Three things jump out of that table.
OnlyFans does not do PayPal. It never has, and no amount of searching will change it. If your plan depends on PayPal, plan again.
MYM does. Combined with euro payouts to a normal European bank account, that makes it the least painful platform to get paid from if you live in the eurozone.
Only Fansly pays crypto. That matters much more than it sounds — see below.
What the processors actually are
Bank transfer (SEPA or SWIFT). Boring and usually best. Inside the eurozone, SEPA is cheap, fast and lands in euros with no conversion. Outside it, SWIFT works everywhere but your receiving bank commonly takes $15–30 and adds its own exchange-rate margin.
Paxum. An e-wallet built for the adult industry. Its whole reason to exist is that ordinary banks sometimes freeze or question payments from these platforms. Low minimums, fast, widely accepted by agencies and platforms alike. You pay for it in card and withdrawal fees at the other end.
Cosmo (Cosmopayment). Same category as Paxum, same purpose, similar low minimum. Useful as a second option when Paxum isn't available in your country.
Skrill. An e-wallet available on OnlyFans. Convenient if you already use it; otherwise it mostly adds a hop, and every hop takes a cut.
Crypto (Fansly). Settles fast — often within about 24 hours of approval — and carries no chargeback risk. The minimum is higher, usually around $100.
Crypto: useful, but be clear-eyed
Crypto payouts solve a real problem for creators whose banks refuse adult-industry transfers, and for anyone in a country where international transfers are slow or unreliable.
They also introduce problems you didn't have:
- Price movement. Between payout and the moment you convert to spendable money, the amount can change. If you don't want that exposure, convert immediately, and prefer a stablecoin over Bitcoin if the platform offers one.
- You are your own bank. A wrong address, a lost key or a compromised device means the money is gone permanently. There is no support line.
- It is still income. Being paid in crypto changes nothing about declaring it, and in most countries converting it is itself a taxable event. Keep a record of every payout in your local currency on the day it arrived.
Use it because it's the best rail available to you, not because it feels like a workaround.
Which one to choose
You live in the eurozone. SEPA on Fansly or MYM, euros end to end, no conversion. This is the cheapest setup that exists and most European creators overcomplicate it.
Your bank has questioned or frozen an adult-platform payment. Move to Paxum or Cosmo before it happens again. A frozen transfer costs weeks; a wallet costs a few percent.
You're outside SEPA and want the lowest total cost. Receive dollars into an account you actually control, and convert once, when you need the money — not at every hop. That single rule matters more than which processor you pick; we go through it in detail for creators in Latin America.
You need the money fast and reliably. E-wallets and crypto beat international bank transfers on speed almost every time.
You're on MYM and eligible for PayPal. Fine for small amounts, but check the fees against a plain SEPA transfer — PayPal is convenient rather than cheap.
The costs nobody adds up
The minimum is a cost. A $100 crypto minimum means your money sits on the platform until you reach it. Early on, a $20 e-wallet minimum can be worth more to you than a lower percentage.
Fixed fees punish small payouts. A $20 SWIFT fee is 10% of a $200 payout and 0.4% of a $5,000 one. Fewer, larger payouts beat weekly small ones on every method with a flat fee.
The exchange rate is the invisible one. Banks routinely take 2–4% on conversion without ever calling it a fee. Over a year that usually beats every other cost on this page combined.
Every hop takes a slice. Platform → wallet → card → bank is three cuts. Platform → bank is one.
Mistakes that cost real money
- A name mismatch. The account name must match your verified identity exactly. A mismatch is the single most common reason a payout gets frozen for review — and reviews take weeks.
- Waiting on a high minimum while you actually need the money. Pick a method whose minimum fits your current income, not your target income.
- Mixing it with your personal account. Use a separate account for creator income from day one; your accountant will need it and so will you.
- Letting anyone else receive your payouts. No legitimate agency ever asks for this. If yours does, that is the moment to leave — more red flags in how to spot a legit agency.
- Never re-checking. Platforms add and drop processors regularly. Look at your options once a year.
How we handle it at Pony Agency
Your payout account is yours, always. We never receive your money, never ask for your withdrawal credentials, and our percentage is something you send us from your own account after you have been paid. That is the only arrangement that leaves you in control, and we'd tell you to walk away from anyone offering a different one.
What we do run is everything that decides how big the payout is in the first place: the right platform mix for your market, pricing per country, uploads and captions, and a chatting team across English, Spanish, German and French.
Apply to Pony Agency if you want that side handled properly.
FAQ
Does OnlyFans pay through PayPal?
No. OnlyFans pays by bank transfer, including international SWIFT, and through Paxum, Cosmo and Skrill. MYM does offer PayPal; OnlyFans does not.
Can I get paid in crypto on OnlyFans?
No. Among the three platforms here, only Fansly offers cryptocurrency payouts, typically with a minimum around $100 and settlement often within about 24 hours.
What is the minimum payout on Fansly?
It depends on the method: around $20 for Paxum or Cosmopayment, $50 for SEPA inside the EU and UK, and $100 for international SWIFT or crypto.
What is the minimum payout on MYM?
€50 in validated earnings, with a certified account and a payment method saved. Payouts go out once you pass the threshold.
Which payout method is cheapest?
SEPA if you're in the eurozone — cheap, fast, no conversion. Everywhere else, the cheapest is whichever route involves the fewest currency conversions, not the one with the lowest headline fee.
Why is my payout being reviewed?
Almost always a mismatch: the name, address or country on your bank account doesn't match your verified identity. Fix the mismatch rather than resubmitting, and expect the review to take weeks.
Should I use Paxum or a bank transfer?
A bank transfer if your bank has no issue with the payments. Paxum the moment it does — that's exactly the problem it exists to solve.
Pick the rail once, deliberately, and check it once a year. Fewest conversions, a minimum that matches what you actually earn, and a name that matches your ID — or apply to Pony Agency and we'll set the whole earning side up with you.
